jago107
I might not be the first to come across this idea, and stop me if someone else is already doing it. But would anyone be interested in doing a league with classic TNT era trucks but on the modern CRD chassis? Essentially the trucks would be customized to be as close as possible to how they were back in the TNT days, around 1990. There are already quite a few of the trucks already made on the CRD chassis with correct bodystyles and paintjobs. And a big thank you to everyone who helped make those trucks, by the way. The only thing would be to customize the trucks to be the way they were in the old days, which I have already done most of that. Trucks that were front engine, which was most of them, were made to be that way. Trucks were given the correct engine brand, Ford Performance for Ford trucks, the Merlin for Chevy trucks, and the HEMI for Dodge trucks, however I've noticed that the HEMI can't be put in the front motor position. I've also noticed that certain headers are unavailable on certain motors when they're in the front position, some of which make more sense than others. Tires have also been changed to be more period correct, most of the trucks have regular Goodyear tires on them. The shocks are one of the big differences between certain trucks. Equalizer ran single coil-over shocks, so I have it setup that way. Most other trucks have the stock nitrogen shocks. I could go on and on, but let's talk about the competition aspect of the league. We could do classic style race tracks as well as modern style race tracks. The retro Bloomsburg track would be nice for some straight line drag racing as well as the TNT Monster Trucks Retro Custom track. I would also love to see a recreation of the Louisville Motor Speedway figure 8 track. We would also do freestyle of course. We could use a points system like how it was in 1990, and the driver/truck that has the most points at the end of the season would be crowned champion. So, this would be a mix of old style and new style stuff all mixed together. We could record every event and post it to YouTube, maybe after some editing. I made a video showing off some of the trucks in their customized state. So, with all that being said, would anyone be interested in doing this? Or has it already been done?
jago107
I should probably add more information. So, first thing I want to add is a list of eligible trucks. This is a list of all the trucks that competed at any event for the TNT promotion, as far as I know. If anyone notices any missing trucks, please let me know. 4 Wheel Crazy Awesome Kong (Not the skinny body version) Bad News Barbarian Bigfoot #4 & #8 (Only one can be used at each event) Black Stallion Buffalo Tremor Carolina Crusher Casper Clydesdale Equalizer Fanatic Grave Digger (Jersey) Outlaw Jus' Show-N-Off King Kong King Krunch Leadfoot Liquidator Mad Dog Master of Disaster Micro Machines Mopar Magic Mr. Twister Night Life No Problem! Overtime Play'n For Keeps Pony Express Rambo Renegade 1 Stomper Taurus Thunder Chicken Tuff E'Nuff USA-1 Walking Tall Whiskey Business Wild Hair As far as I know, that's the whole list. And a lot of those trucks haven't even been made for the game. I'd like to see 16 people sign up so that we can do a full racing bracket. I suppose 8 would do, but we'll see how it goes.
