I did watch some bits of the race. Not necessarily a big fan. but I've been living literally less than a mile from Daytona Speedway for the past two years, so I sometimes watch the races that are going on.


What's really cool is that the delay of the livestream is usually the same as the time it takes for sound to travel the distance from the track to my apartment (roughly 5 seconds). Those engines are more than loud enough to be clearly heard from here. I can sometimes hear the crashes, too. When Newman had his nasty crash last year I heard it irl at the same time that I saw it on my monitor. I live even closer to the hospital, and saw the lights of the emergency vehicles from my window.
